After a sump pump failure resulted in a few inches of water in our basement, the bottom 24 inches of sheet rock had to be removed. In addition to repairing the water damage, we decided take the opportunity to update the basement by replacing the acoustic drop ceiling with a finished sheet rock ceiling, add a gas fireplace and improve the heating and cooling airflow in the basement. We chose Breeden Construction because of their experience and professionalism in home construction.

Tim Pratt and his team of sub-contractors did a fantastic job not only restoring our basement, but making it much more modern and up to date. They did a great job matching the walls where the sheet rock had been removed and integrating the new construction with the existing construction. The Breeden Construction crews did a good job of keeping the construction area clean and minimized the impact to the rest of the house. The work was done on time and at a fair price.

1. If you are planning on financing your home, deciding on a lender and getting pre-approved for the financing is the first step.
2. Once you are pre-approved you can begin shopping for a building lot and house plan.
3. Finally you can select building contractors to receive quotes from for your new home building project.
4. Once you decide on a building contractor you will return to your lender with house plans and the builders quote in hand.  The lender will then approve the building plans and price and issue you a construction loan.

With the construction loan you and the builder will begin your new home.
